    My lovely (and far more musically current) girlfriend introduced me to this song and video last week.  Not only is it amazing, but after hearing this quote, this guy may be my new hero:

    “It’s taken me by surprise.  I really didn’t expect this song to sort of, you know, be a pop crossover song.  A lot of pop music these days that sort of sits at the top of the charts, not to say that the lyrics aren’t important, but it certainly feels to me like that most of the things that people are singing about are being ‘in the club’ and I’m not much of a club person myself…I sort of feel like it would be nice if there was some more material that people were engaging with rather than what’s happening in the club all the time.  Maybe people are looking for a breath of fresh air and if this song is one of the things that has brought that, then great.”
