Butter Fingers
“The Sports Guy” Bill Simmons once equated being a Chargers fan with being a battered wife in a Lifetime movie of the week. You always think that the husband (or in this case the team) has changed, that they are not going to break your heart and beat you into the ground like every previous time (usually around the playoffs). But last night was exceptional.
The only thing that...

Another Time Killer: Tales from the Heart →
This was less of a homily and more the plot of “John Q” starring Denzel Washington.

Being from Arkansas, I see quite a few of these “homilies” show up on my Facebook wall from old friends and family. This one is a doozy:
An 11 year old girl asks her father, “Dad, what are you gonna get me for my 15th birthday?” The father replied, “Daughter, there’s much time left.”...

Cable News: Watch Anderson Cooper Lose It on Live... →
Before signing off each night, Anderson Cooper concludes AC360 with a segment called the “Ridiculist,” during which he comments on some trivial bit of news or pop culture.
It was a phenomenal month for Channel 101. McCafferty knocked this one out of the park and Ben made it look great. Watch for me at about 2:00.

Get Well Ford →
I can’t believe I never heard about this. Our old friend and Channel 101 alumnus Ford Austin (The Wright Stuff) was in a massive car accident in March and has been in the hospital rehabbing ever since. Please consider donating to help with his medical bills at the website or join the facebook group.
Please re-post if you are inclined to do so.

A Web Soup Exclusive peek at G4’s newest shows: Video Gamerz & Jugga Tek. (feat. Brad Stevens, John Walsh, Mike Henry, & Trina Calderon) Gamerz brings all the venom and pointless bitching of your favorite Internet message boards to third-tier cable television but with slightly fewer references to Hitler. And Jugga Tek gives premiere Tech Jugga-spondent Blazin’...

So...about those tickets...
Well, it seems that my excitement about the Frank Stallone gig has been extinguished. He’s decided to stick with the original band setting without keyboards. Needless to say, I’m really disappointed.
It was exciting for a while and then it became more stressful than fun. Trying to learn over 20 songs in a short time frame will do that. I sent Frank this video of me playing with...

One Night Stallonely
So I’ve been keeping this under wraps for the most part, but things seem a bit more solidified so I feel more comfortable letting the cat out of the bag. I got a text a little over couple of months ago from my buddy Bryan asking if I would be interested in playing keyboards for Frank Stallone. Frank had a gig opening for Eddie Money in Burbank in August, and asked if it was okay to give my...
